Between cold temperatures and a lack of funding, women on the streets and in the shelters of Kelowna are faced with unimaginably difficult times. While donations of food and warm clothes are deeply appreciated, one common request is often missed: the desire for a dress.

HOPE Outreach, a female-run organization aimed at helping exploited women, is collecting dresses between January 20 to 31 at the UBCSUO office (open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). There will be a designated bin for dresses, skirts, and any other clothing that students or faculty may wish to donate.

Additionally, there will be an information table to promote the Dress Drive and HOPE Outreach in the Fipke foyer on January 20 between 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and yes — there will be free treats.

Helping someone feel pretty can make all the difference. HOPE Outreach thanks you in advance for your support. Please visit https://hopeokanagan.com to find out more.
